Tuchel says of Harry Kane, 'I have no more words'
Background
Harry Kane, the England captain, has proved his worth with his performance against the Czech Republic. With the praise from Thomas Tuchel, Kane's role has become even more important for the team, especially as he inches closer to equaling the all-time cap record.
Why it matters
Harry Kane's 125th cap is a significant milestone for England, as he could equal the all-time record with Peter Shilton. Kane's form, in which he has scored 21 goals in his last 22 matches, adds to the match impact for the England team. Thus, his performance will also affect the team's season outlook for the upcoming tournaments.
Key points

- Tuchel does not have ‘anymore words’ for Kane ahead of landmark England appearance.
Tomas Tuchel has praised Harry Kane's talents and has no words for him as the England captain prepares for his 125th cap against the Czech Republic on Tuesday. If Kane plays in this match, he will tie Peter Shilton as the player with the most caps for the England men's national team. Kane has scored 21 goals in his last 22 matches and has also scored three goals in four matches against the Czech Republic.
England, after a disappointing 3-2 defeat against Spain in their first Nations League match, have managed to beat the Czech Republic and Croatia - including a 7-0 win against Croatia. Tuchel has expressed his intention to make some changes to his team before their final match. Although he did not reveal much about his team's selection process, his admiration for the 33-year-old was clear.
"I don't know if I have any more words," Tuchel said of Kane. “He's on the shortlist for the Ballon d'Or. We've talked about him so many times, and I try to find new words which then become useless!
“Whatever he does, he does it at the highest level; He does it consistently, and I'm pretty sure he will be the one to carry the team on the training pitch. He will lead the team in the warm-up and neither step slower nor step slower. This is their level.
“Since he took on this big role for Bayern Munich, he has found a new level. This is the highest level, on and off the pitch.
"All number nines in the world, no matter what league, are a little different. The first #ThreeLions player to score 10 or more goals in three different calendar years, @HKane loves to score goals!
“They don’t just make their team win; They also do this for their personal records: 'How many goals can I score? How many assists can I make? What's the next record?'

"That's what motivates him, and it's good that it motivates him. You won't find a striker of this level who doesn't have individual goals."
One player that Tuchel will definitely not be without is Alex Scott, who was ruled out of the squad on Monday with a thigh injury. According to reports, Bournemouth are unhappy with the England side's management of the 23-year-old's injury, as he could be out for up to eight weeks during a busy period for the club. But Tuchel says England are taking no risks regarding the Scot's fitness.
“On a human level, I feel bad that he is not getting his next cap against the Czech Republic,” Tuchel said. “In my mind, that [match] started.
“I didn't want to take any risks, even though it was a big opportunity for him. We wanted him to start, but if we had the slightest idea that it was a risk to play, we wouldn't have done it. We never do that.
“We – the medical and physical departments – always communicate with all the players who are with us.
"We share information; it's a completely open process. I can understand that Bournemouth are not happy because they are losing an important player.
“But all I can say is that at the moment we made the decision, there did not appear to be any risk to me or our physical staff. This is a special case."
England are undefeated in all eight of their matches against the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium (6 wins, 2 draws), the most recent of which saw the Three Lions end their Euro 2020 group stage campaign with a 1–0 win. However, England first lost against Spain in this international window. England last lost two consecutive competitive home matches under Kevin Keegan in November 1999 (against Scotland) and October 2000 (against Germany).
