PSG confirm sale of Goncalo Ramos for €70 million
PSG have confirmed the sale of Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan for €70 million, a significant move in the summer transfer market.
Goncalo Ramos' transfer to AC Milan has been confirmed, with the Portuguese striker leaving PSG to join his countryman Ruben Amorim, who recently became the new manager of the Rossoneri. As the BBC reports, it's a record fee of €70 million for AC Milan, meaning the Parisians have actually made a slight profit on the player they bought from Benfica three years ago for €65 million.
Ramos was brought in as a backup striker, capable of bringing some attacking power off the bench and having no qualms playing as a substitute throughout the season. He scored 45 goals in 135 matches, many of which came from the bench. He has performed on important occasions, including some notable penalty shootouts, and has won numerous trophies.
