Real Madrid toughen the prospect of bringing Nico Paz back from Como, but Inter ready to offer €60 million
Real Madrid are planning to activate a purchase option for Nico Paz, which would make it difficult for Como to retain him, while Inter are preparing a €60 million offer for the player.
Nicolas "Nico" Paz has developed his career with Como over the past two seasons, but Real Madrid have several cheap options to bring him back. It is expected that Real Madrid will activate a €10 million option this summer, which would bring the 21-year-old back to the Spanish capital. Following this, Real Madrid could potentially look to sell the Argentinian player for a more expensive price.
Como have made it clear that they want to keep Paz for at least one more season, especially as the club prepares for its first Champions League experience in 2025–26. However, if Real Madrid activates its purchase option and demands €60 million, as stated in various Italian media reports, this will not be possible for Como due to financial regulations.

Inter Milan are still interested in Paz, even though a deal worth €60 million may be difficult to achieve. The Nerazzurri hope that the relationship between vice-president Javier Zanetti and Nico Paz's family will prove beneficial: Zanetti and Paz's father played together for the Argentina national team between 1996 and 1998. An investment of €60 million is not entirely impossible for Inter, but the Nerazzurri have already allocated around €50 million of the club's budget towards the potential signing of Marco Palestra. Additionally, deals can also be made for players such as Omar Soulet, Evan Ndika and Curtis Jones, making signing Nico Paz at such an expensive price surely requiring other players to move first.
According to reports on Sunday, Inter's most likely players to be sacrificed are Davide Fratesi, Luis Henrique, Ange-Yoan Bony and Aleksandar Stankovic, who was brought back to the club in early June.
