NEC officially adds Kaj Sierhuis to its team
Kaj Sierhuis is now an NEC player, having joined the squad for the Champions League qualifiers.

Kaj Sierhuis is now officially an NEC player. The 28-year-old striker has joined Dick Schreuder's side, who will take part in the Champions League qualifiers. Sierhuis has previously played with Ajax, FC Groningen, Stade Reims and Heracles Almelo. Most recently, he was at Fortuna Sittard, where he refused to extend his expiring contract. NEC convinced him to sign a three-year contract, leading him to choose a new overseas challenge. On the first day, NEC also introduced Tobias Storm, who was previously reported on by VI. Furthermore, Perr Shurs also joined the squad of this losing cup finalist. Sierhuis, along with Storm and Schuurs, are set to take part in the NEC Champions League qualifiers, which will begin in early August. Sierhuis will face competition from other strikers at Nijmegen. Youssef El Kachati, Brian Linsen and Koki Ogawa are already under contract. In recent times, Ogawa has been playing for Japan in the World Cup and he provided an assist against the Netherlands.
