ImageJohanna Riedler has announced her move to SK Sturm Graz from Bundesliga 2 team LUV Graz on a dual registration contract. This will allow her to represent LUV Graz during the 2026/27 Bundesliga season. Riedler played for LUV Graz in the 2025/26 season, where his team finished in eighth place in the second division. SK Sturm Graz is looking to build on its strong performance after finishing third last season. The club has already included Lilla Sipos in the squad and is preparing well for the upcoming season. Speaking about the transfer and the upcoming season, Riedler expressed his happiness. "I am very grateful to be part of SK Sturm Graz. And also to have the opportunity to continue playing for LUV Graz, so that I can develop myself in the best possible way. I am going into the new season with great motivation and look forward to the collaboration and the upcoming challenges." Michael Erlitz, sporting director of women's football for SK Sturm Graz, discussed the importance of the dual registration agreement between Riedler and both Graz-based clubs. "The cooperation with LUV Graz is an important foundation for us in the development of young players. Johanna has developed very positively over the past years and fully deserves this opportunity with her performances. We welcome her and are confident that she will take the next step in her development. At the same time, it is important that she can continue to gain valuable playing experience at LUV. Ultimately, this close cooperation benefits everyone involved, but most of all the players." Graz will open the 2026/27 season with a home match against SCR Altach in the Frauen Bundesliga in August. It is going to be an exciting season in Austria as new champions Austria Wien will try to defend their first title. Ambitious teams like Sturm Graz, Rapid Wien, RB Salzberg are investing heavily in their teams and former champions SKN St. Poulten is trying to regain his title.
