Abate was asked whether he would see it as a betrayal if Malago got more than 70% of the vote: "Excluding the voting of a regional committee like Lombardy, which voted in favor of Malago, I do not see any other similar situation. I have tried to explain my program in detail to everyone, I have not followed anyone nor asked anyone to follow my friends, because I believe in the freedom to vote. "No inconvenience caused, which is very unpleasant. I am waiting for the outcome of the vote peacefully."
He added: "I try to contribute to the system, so naturally I would respect the outcome if it's any kind of outcome. I just hope that no matter what the outcome is, we should actually talk about the problems and not just make press releases and announcements."
