This match marks a turning point in his international career, and it will surely be a great and memorable evening. But, a controversy has also emerged on this important occasion. According to The Guardian, there are some flaws in Argentina's preparation for Messi's farewell match with the Benin team.

This match against Benin is important for Messi, but the question arises why such a farewell match is not being played against a prestigious football country, but against the world's number 93 team Benin. According to the report, Argentina has often played practice matches against African teams in the last few years. Half of the ten recent practice matches were played against African countries. This is because these teams are ready to play at low fees.

However, travel arrangements from the Argentine side to Benin remained extremely poor. The team from Benin was not provided with charter flights, forcing them to resort to various commercial flights. The journey took about 25 hours, leaving one video analyst feeling ill. Apart from this, the condition of the hotel chosen for the Benin players is also worrying. Many rooms have no hot water, the sauna is bad, and the gym is very small.

Benin is going to get almost nothing from this match, while the Estadio Monumental, which has a capacity of 85,000 spectators, will be completely full. All revenues from this match will go to the Argentine Football Association. The Benin team is ready to take advantage of this opportunity, as they are getting a unique opportunity to participate in Messi's farewell match.

However, the situation in Benin is not new. Earlier, Argentina had also invited Burkina Faso for practice, but due to travel difficulties, most of the team players could not reach there. This situation makes it clear that Argentina's preparations require some improvement.

What will happen next

The Benin team is ready to take advantage of this opportunity, but travel and accommodation problems may affect their performance. The Argentine Football Association will benefit from all the revenue generated from this match, while Benin will not benefit significantly from it.
