A player reveals the real reason Guardiola left Manchester City: "They told us and I understand"
Tijjani Reijnders, Manchester City player, revealed Pep Guardiola's reason for leaving the club: "He said he doesn't have the energy to let players down when they're not in the team or can't play." Guardiola left the club after ten years of success.
Pep Guardiola has now become a part of Manchester City's history. He spent ten years in his coaching career and has now decided to move on to new challenges. However, there is a reason behind his sudden departure which has been told by Tijjani Reijnders.
Reijnders, who is on loan at Manchester City from Milan, said Guardiola told him he no longer had the energy to frustrate players when they were not selected to play. He said, "It's a difficult decision, but I understand."
Guardiola has achieved many things in his career, but now he feels it is time to end it. Reijnders said, "He is a very talented coach and it was a privilege to work with him."
He also said that Pep Guardiola has a very strong coaching style and he tries to bring out the best from every player. Meanwhile, Reijnders also spoke about the Netherlands national team's chances of performing at the World Cup.
