England's World Cup semi-final defeat against Argentina has been a painful experience, but now the recovery process has started rapidly. The long international break and four Nations League matches have given head coach Thomas Tuchel a chance to bounce back from the disappointment and rebuild his team. Tuchel's squad included players who were previously out of his plans, as well as new faces. Team captain Harry Kane also remains important in his role.

What has Tuchel learned from the start of England's Nations League campaign? Captain Kane proved his worth in the 3-0 win against Czech Republic on Tuesday. He equaled Peter Shilton's record of 125 England caps. Kane, still 33, increased his goal tally to become England's all-time best scorer with 91 goals, 38 more than Wayne Rooney. The performance has pleased Tuchel, especially with Kane at his peak fitness.

Tuchel now has an attacking squad that can pose a threat to any side in the world. Kane may be the mainstay, but Anthony Gordon has taken his game to new heights since joining Newcastle from Barcelona. Gordon scored in three Nations League matches against Spain, Czech Republic, and Croatia and was laid to rest here at Wembley. On the right flank Bukayo Saka, who was troubled by a World Cup Achilles injury, scored two goals against Croatia.

Behind him, Jude Bellingham, England's Player of the Year and a 23-year-old young talent, impressed everyone with his ability. Tuchel made sure England's attacking quartet was a natural fit.

However, a major disappointment for England came when Burnmouth midfielder Alex Scott picked up an injury in the game against the Czech Republic. The Scot was impressive on his debut in a 7–0 win in Croatia. His injury has dealt a big blow to Tuchel and England.

Tuchel has also redefined his relationship with Trent Alexander-Arnold. Alexander-Arnold was initially left out of the World Cup squad, but he proved with his play in the Nations League that he should be included back. He has the potential to perform brilliantly against the Czech Republic, opening up more selection options for Tuchel.

England's attacking quartet also includes other players such as Manchester City's £116million new signing Elliot Anderson and Arsenal's 20-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelley. Tuchel has made steps towards improving his team throughout the tournament.

It will be interesting to see how England become a threat to any opponent when Tuchel keeps his four key players fit and firing.

Thus, England's performance has made it clear that Tuchel has a good mix of young talent and experienced players, which can lead them to success in the future.

What will happen next

Now England need to maintain consistency in their next Nations League matches. Tuchel will need to focus on maximizing his squad's depth and the contributions of young talents such as Jude Bellingham and Anthony Gordon. It will be interesting to see whether England will be able to maintain this form and consolidate their position in the upcoming matches.
