Florentino confirms Mourinho and Konate as his first signings


Florentino Perez has caused a stir in the football landscape ahead of the club's upcoming elections. In an exclusive interview he revealed his first two major steps if he wins re-election: the return of José Mourinho and the signing of centre-back Ibrahima Konate. "Mourinho and Konate are my first signings," the Real Madrid president said candidly. The executive justified the Portuguese coach's return by saying that he had previously been important at Concha Espina. "Mourinho is one of the great coaches in the world and he was very important for Real Madrid when he was with us. The president clearly stated that "If I remain president of Real Madrid, Konaté, one of the world's great defenders, will play for Real Madrid from next season." He also made it clear that there would be a major change in the defensive system, warning that "he will not just be a top defender who comes if I keep leading Real Madrid." Finally, the Real Madrid president opened the door to the return of Nico Paz, one of the gems of the academy who has shined in Italy's Serie A this year. Florentino acknowledged that "Nico Paz is one of the great players who have come out of our academy and who is today being sought after by major European clubs." The president acknowledged that the player had spent a great year at Como and concluded that "We have the option to bring him back this year. We will decide it with the coach and the technical staff."
