Milan-bound Morten Hjulmand has already said goodbye to his Sporting CP teammates, according to reports from Portugal. He wants his transfer to be completed before the start of pre-season, but there are conflicting reports regarding a potential transfer fee with the Rossoneri. Sporting midfielder Hjulmand is one of new Milan head coach Ruben Amorim's first-choice signings, according to reports over the past few days. The former Leche Che man is already working under Amorim and his 3-4-2-1 system in Italy. The Denmark international has an €80 million release clause in his contract with Sporting, but the Portuguese giants are prepared to listen to significantly lower offers for the 26-year-old this summer. Portuguese media outlet Record claim that Hjulmand is so keen to move to Milan so soon that he has already said goodbye to his teammates and coaching staff at Sporting. He is keen for a new experience abroad and wants his next move decided before the start of pre-season. Hjulmand was close to leaving Sporting last summer, and reports over the past few days suggest there was a 'gentleman's agreement' in place for the player to leave in the summer of 2026 for a reasonable fee. A price of €45 million was discussed a few days ago, while Calciomercato.com report that Milan could agree a deal with Sporting worth between €35 million-€40 million.
