Francesco Monteravino: "The B League is tight for the spectators of Salerno, not to mention C. Hopefully we will reach the heights again"
Francesco Monteravino recalled his time with Salernitana and expressed hope for the team's future. He stressed his strong connection with the city.
Francesco Monteravino was one of the former players to attend Salernitana's 107th birthday celebrations. He said, "It's definitely a pleasure to be invited by the fans and the organizers. When Salerno calls, I'm always ready and have a special connection with it here, as evidenced by the fact that my daughters live here.
Monteravino continued, "At Salernitana I spent a time that was not very pleasant, but afterwards I had many satisfactory experiences, and I played with a bandage on the captain's arm. We won two championships, from D to C1, a Supercoppa di Liga Pro and also a Categoria Cup Italia, which laid the foundation for further progress.
It's sad to see that such an exciting place is in the C League: the B League is tight, don't even think about the C League.
