Ajax signs Caio Henrique from Monaco
Ajax have signed Caio Henrique from AS Monaco for €9 million. Henrique will now be Ajax's new left back.
Caio Henrique has now become Ajax's new left back. The Amsterdam club have agreed a deal with AS Monaco for the 28-year-old Brazilian. Henrique trained as a midfielder in his home country and made a move to Europe at the age of 19, when Atlético Madrid signed him. In 2020, he joined AS Monaco playing as a left back and has played over 200 official matches over the years. He also proved himself for the national team last season, when he played in four international matches for Brazil last year. However, a hamstring injury affected the final months of his last season. Now Heinrich is ready for a new challenge. He had a one-year contract and so Monaco agreed to cooperate with the transfer. As De Telegraaf reported on Friday, Ajax will pay around 9 million euros for Henrique. Once all the final details are decided, he will join him in Amsterdam. Thus, he becomes the first big signing of the summer.---
