The GoAhead Eagles are negotiating a new contract with Joris Kramer. The 29-year-old defender has become the center of attraction for other clubs. FC Groningen have already made a bid for him, but GoAhead wishes to see Kramer not go anywhere else. Kramer joined Deventer in the summer of 2023, where he previously played on loan for a year. Last season, he took over the captaincy from Mats Deil and his contract is until mid-2028. GoAhead is hoping to extend this contract. Technical manager Marc van Hintum confirmed, "We like Joris very much. We lost our captain a year ago and it would be very sad if it happened again. Joris has had a great season and has proven to be a very good captain. We really want to keep him." Additionally, GoAhead is also in talks with Gerrit Nauber. The German defender broke his leg in a Europa League match against Aston Villa last season and has been recovering since then. His contract expires at the end of this month. "We'll see how it develops. Gerrit is an important player and he's recovering well. We're hopeful he'll be back full and welcome back then."
