Arkadiusz Milik revealed the difficulties of the last two years he spent at Juventus as he shared his experiences on Polish podcast Kanal Sportowy. He said that these two years were filled with numerous injuries and disappointing comeback attempts, which affected his physical, mental and emotional health.
"I would cry when I went to the gym," Milik said. He told that the most difficult time for him was between January to April 2025. He pondered whether he should seek help from a psychologist. "I used to say to myself: 'Arek, do you really think you can handle everything alone?' But I realized my mistake. I couldn't bear it anymore. These were not pleasant moments, but I wouldn't say it was depression. For me, I really hit rock bottom."
Football had always been an escape from problems for him, but now it had become a huge burden for him. Milik said, "At one time football was an escape for me from any problem. But suddenly, I would go to the gym and start crying. This happened for the first time in my life. Many times I had to stop the practice suddenly and go to the bathroom and cry."

He said that he was earning the most money of his career, yet he had never been so sad to play football. "Money doesn't bring happiness. At least in my case."
Milik also said that he regretted being left out while his colleagues were playing in the Champions League. "I felt like a hungry person at that time, walking down a street full of nice restaurants," he said.
Now he is happy and ready to play, but said he was sad to end the season with Juventus.
Talking about the future, Milik said that Juventus have decided that he is not in their plans next season. Regarding the possibility of a return to Gornik Zabrze, he said, "I feel very affectionate for this club. This club will always hold a special place in my heart. Would I go there? I talk to my brother every day, but it's for family and non-professional reasons. At the moment, I think it's a little early to talk about it."
