Arsenal Football Club is planning to spend €345 million (£300 million) to strengthen its squad after defeat in the Champions League final. According to journalist Jamie Dickenson, the club has already earmarked £175 million (€200 million) to spend on the purchase of the two players. These players are Aston Villa's midfielder Morgan Rodgers and Burnmouth's forward Eli Crupi.

Club officials have also indicated that if Arsenal were to earn around £100 million (€115 million), they would be cleared to spend a further £125 million (€145 million) on the purchase of new defenders and midfielders.
