Club icon Koke (34) lengthens at Atlético: 'Our target is the national title'
Koke extended his contract with Atlético Madrid until 2027 and confirmed to remain captain. Their goal is to win the national title.
Koke, 34, debuted in the Atlético Madrid main team in September 2009 and has since made 740 official appearances for Los Rojiblancos. He is the player with the most matches in the history of Atlético. During this time, he won two Spanish league titles, one Copa del Rey, two Europa League titles, two UEFA Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup with his Atlético.

Last season was very special for me, because I was able to play at a higher level and help my teammates where I love most: on the field. I take pride in supporting my teammates both on and off the field. And hopefully this will not be limited to just one year, but will last for many years, and we will work for it.Koke further said, 'Our target is to win the league title again. This has not been possible for us for the last few years, and neither the fans, nor the team, nor the club can think of anything else except winning the national championship. They also said goodbye to Antoine Griezmann, another icon of the club, at the end of last season. Griezmann, who is moving to MLS club Orlando, is Atlético's leading goalscorer in history.
