The 1/16 final match of the 2026 Football World Cup between Brazil and Japan has ended. This match was played at NRG Stadium in Houston, America. In this match, Brazil defeated Japan 2:1.
Japanese midfielder Kaisu Sano gave Japan the lead by scoring the first goal in the 29th minute. But Brazilian midfielder Casemiro equalized the score in the 56th minute. Ultimately, Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli scored the decisive goal in the 90+5th minute to give the team the victory.
Now the Brazilian team will face the winner of the match between Côte d'Ivoire and Norway in the 1/8 finals. The World Cup 2026 is being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
