Real Madrid focus on midfielder worth €80 million in 2027
Real Madrid have confirmed Nico Paz will not be returning this summer, with Como set to retain him for €60 million. The club has a buy-back option of €80 million for next summer, assuming his price exceeds this amount.
In the last 24 hours it has been confirmed that Nico Paz will not return to Real Madrid this summer. On Thursday, Los Blancos activated a €9 million buy-back clause in his contract with Como, but within a day, they agreed a €60 million deal with the Serie A side to retain his services on a permanent basis.
This is good news for Real Madrid, as they make an immediate gain of €51 million with Paz. They have already spent €80 million on Marak Cucurella (€60 million) and Denzel Dumfries (€20 million) this summer, along with free transfers such as Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva.
The money coming from the sale of Paz could be diverted to his Argentina teammate Enzo Fernandez, who is Jose Mourinho's top target to strengthen his midfield. Real Madrid not only made a huge profit on Paz, but also retained a buy-back clause with Como in the new contract.
