Earlier this feat was achieved in 2014, when Colombia defeated Greece 3–0 and then Côte d'Ivoire 2–1. In that tournament, Colombia reached the fourth round and lost against Brazil. Colombia's next match will be on June 28, where they will play against Portugal. The World Cup 2026 will be held in America, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The current World Cup champions are Argentina.
