Algeria beats Jordan 2-1, hopes of qualification remain intact
Algeria defeated Jordan 2–1, eliminating them from the competition and keeping their qualification hopes alive.
Algeria won 2–1 against Jordan, keeping their hopes of finishing second in their group alive. Jordan took the lead through Alrashwadan's goal in the 36th minute of the first half. Alrashwadan took advantage of Abou Taqa's cross, which was converted after a mistake by Algerian player Zerrouqi.

In the second half, Algerian coach Vladimir Petkovic fielded Bentaleb and Benbouali. This increased Algeria's attacking edge and Benbouali's header from Mahrez's corner leveled the match.
In the end, Algeria replaced Mahrez with Hadj Moussa and scored the final goal with Bensebine's header from another corner. With this win, both Algeria and Austria have 3 points and the final group match between the two teams will be crucial.
