Germany and Paraguay face off for Copa last 16 spots - FIFA World Cup 2026
Germany and Paraguay are set to meet in the round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the winner facing France or Sweden in the next round.
Germany and Paraguay will face each other this Monday (29) at 5:30 pm (Brasilia time) in the 32nd round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Whichever team advances will face either France or Sweden in the next round. Compared to the previous match (a 2–1 win against Ecuador), Brown and Andav have been named in Germany's starting squad in place of Raum and Musiala. On the other hand, the South American team, which comes from a 0-0 draw against Australia, has Canale, Junior Alonso, Bobadilla and Almiron in place of Velazquez, Alderete, Mediana and Gomez. Both the German and Paraguayan players are in the opposite bracket to Brazil, and they will only meet in a potential World Cup final.
