Scotland head coach Steve Clarke has said he is "100% concerned" about Napoli midfielder Billy Gilmore. Gilmour left the field with an injury in the 40th minute of the first half in the match against CuraƧao, which Scotland won 4–1. Clark said Gilmore will undergo the necessary tests today. He also said that "he is expected to join the Scottish squad flying to America on Sunday."

Gilmour started in the first eleven for today's match at Hampden, but was substituted with a knee problem. His teammate Scott McTominay was rested, as was Bologna player Lewis Ferguson. "My one hope was that there would be no injuries, but we lost Billy and we don't know yet how serious his injuries are," Clark said.

"He's going to his aunt's wedding tonight. Of course, he'll be checked over the night and we pray he's OK. I'm 100% worried. He got hurt when he got hit and he decided on his own that he had to go out, so that means he knew something wasn't right. We'll just have to wait and see.
